Sharing adaptation information across Europe
On 6 June 2018, the European Environment Agency (EEA) announced the publication of the report, entitled “Sharing adaptation information across Europe”. This report is the first of three documents that comprise the first comprehensive assessment of Climate-ADAPT Portal. The evaluation is completed by two other publications:
· a brochure, which presents some examples of the platform’s use at various governance levels and sectors;
· a technical study providing details on the methodology and the outcomes of the evaluation.
This portal was launched in 2012, at the behest of the EEA, with the goal of building a knowledge base updated supporting climate adaptation strategy of the EU. The portal consists of two main components: The first provides information on vulnerability assessments, adaptation policies and strategies, funding opportunities, results from research and other projects, and news and events; the second part is a database, which aims to share information on climatic adaptation in Europe by guiding users to relevant resources in other web sites.
